Ah-Chi-Yo — Moving into "Essential Well-BE-ing"
The Practice of Ah-Chi-Yo

Easy, gentle and safe, Ah-Chi-Yo is user-friendly and can be performed by people of all ages, shapes and sizes and can improve and enhance the physical condition and vitality level of any participant.

A typical practice session will include several elements, all of which promote mindful, present moment awareness. The elements include breathing, sounding, stretching, body patting, specific exercises, guided visualization and relaxation.

Because it works with the inner and subtle energies of the body, it can greatly benefit both the person who has a very limited level of physical activity as well as a person who works out on a regular basis.

With each individual focusing on their own experience, the practice is non-competitive in nature and is done in a relaxed way that respects the capacities of the individual. Participants are encouraged to listen to their body as they move through the different exercises and to honor their individual requirements by adapting the movement as needed for personal comfort and/or to accommodate a limitation.
